Registration Costs

• $25 – For athletes under 10 years old, includes up to 3 events (e.g. Team Kata, Ninja Belt Tag, and Pre-Novice Kumite)

• $35 – For one Kata division. A second Kata division may be added at no additional cost, pending scheduling conflicts and availability

• $35 – For one Kumite division. A second Kumite division may be added at no additional cost, pending age eligibility Scheduling conflicts and availability

• $10 – For Team Kata (per team member)

Please Note:

• Athletes who register for Kumite will not be eligible to participate in Ninja Belt Tag, due to scheduling conflicts

• Maximum registration fee of $75 per Athlete

In order to ensure that the check-in process is as efficient as possible, we will not be accepting any new registrations at the door. We ask that all registrations be submitted no later than one week in advance of the tournament date.

  • Ninja (5 - 7) - Kata, Kumite & Ribbon Kumite

  • Pre-novice (8 - 9) - Kata, Kumite & Ribbon Kumite

  • Novice (10 - 11) - Kata & Kumite

  • Youth (12 - 13) - Kata & Kumite

  • Cadet (14 - 15) - Kata & Kumite

Check-in Times

All competitors are required to check in no less than 30 minutes before tournament start. Draw sheets for all divisions will be available by the check-in table for review.

Required equipment for all Kumite competitors

The following protective equipment is compulsory per the Competition Rules:

a) WKF approved mitts (one set red, one set blue).

b) Gum shield.

c) WKF approved body protector (male/female design as applicable).

d) WKF approved shin pads (one set red, one set blue).

e) WKF approved foot protection (one set red, one set blue).

f) WKF approved groin guards for male competitors.

g) NEW REQUIREMENT: For competitors under 14 years of age, the use of WKF approved Helmet and External Chest Protector is mandatory.

Equipment Assistance: KNB is committed to making competition accessible for all athletes. For those who do not yet have their own competition gear, KNB will have a limited supply of equipment available for use during the tournament. This inventory is restricted to:

• Helmets

• Body protectors

• Gloves (Mitts)

• Shin pads

• Belts

Please note that shared equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All Kumite competitors remain primarily responsible for their own equipment, including both red and blue sets and belts.

Any competitor may register to compete in a division above their current age-appropriate division. This is subject to the following conditions:

• The competitor must also be registered in their own age-appropriate division.
• Kumite competitors must be eligible to move into that division within the next year.
• Kata competitors may compete one level up.

• Higher-division entries are subject to registration numbers within each division and scheduling logistics, and may be adjusted accordingly by the tournament organizers.

There is no additional cost to register in a higher division.

All Grand Prix / Elite divisions will follow WKF Rules (effective date January 1, 2024)
